I have a presentation by 3pm today and I’m still not working on it!
I read it somewhere that inspiration is only for amateurs. I guess, then so be it! I’m an amateur in this whole account management thing that I cannot coerce myself to think right now. It’s not that I’m not familiar with the subject of my presentation, it’s just that I haven’t felt the leak of creative juices yet.
So now I’m reading about “Thinking under pressure“. The article says that confidence is the key to thinking under pressure. Once you establish that confidence within you, you will refrain from panic when you are in need of translating your ideas into coherent speech.
Next, you have to make sure that you are well-informed about the subject matter. That actually boosts your confidence, and you are more likely to come up with sound answers when put in the hot seat.
Last, relax when you feel the pressure coming up quickly. Well, that’s what I’ve been doing for the past hours already! Haha! But it is proven. Actually, most of my brilliant ideas (in my opinion only hehe), come out after I take my lunch (and make petiks! haha!)
So there, I guess I need to go back to work. Oh did I say that blogging can relieve the stress of thinking under pressure?
